The first place I worked right out of college was a small community hospital in Tecumseh, MI; UPHS-Bell reminds me of that “home town” hospital experience with compassionate employees who are committed to helping their neighbors, family, friends and colleagues.

My husband Kevin Salmela and I have been married 15 years and we have one “furry kid”, an English Setter named Cooper.

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
Supporting my patients and their families as they navigate the medical aspect of their communicative, cognitive or swallowing condition.
