The majority of my clinical rotations were scheduled here at Bell. The facility as a whole had such an inviting quality that I knew I wanted to work here someday.
What is a typical day for you?
Every day is different depending on patient census and testing. Most days I’m involved directly with patient testing and care. That can range from outpatient testing to inpatient services. When I’m not helping out with patient care then it’s office work such as scheduling tests, seeking insurance prior authorizations, auditing, meetings, employee recruiting, employee scheduling, etc. I’m also the Technical Director for our Sleep Center which has an abundance of work in itself like scheduling, obtaining insurance prior authorizations, quality audits, AASM accreditation standards upkeep, courtesy calling, etc.

I’m an excellent baker/treat maker! I love to make special creations for family and friends! I also make healthy treats and cakes for fur babies.
Tell us about your family.
I live in Negaunee (Go Miners!). I’m the Mom of Chloe and Emma, my two strong, independent, and loving daughters. I also have two fur-babies, Ginger (English Mastiff) and Oscar (English Bulldog) and two grand fur-babies, Maxx (South African Boerboel) and Daisy (Mini Golden Doodle). I myself come from a small family. My dad and step-mom live close by in Gwinn, and my mom in California. I am the second oldest of four daughters. I grew up in the small town of Grand Marais where everyone was family. Go Polar Bears!
Name something on your bucket list.
To take a vacation where you stay in a private bungalow over the water.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
Empowering my staff. Empowering our employees positively adds to the culture of the workplace, allows for a better employee experience and aids in retention. We want employees to feel good about their job, that their ideas are valued, and that they are truly a part of the company’s success.
