In this week’s employee spotlight, we’re featuring Dr. Andrew Atkinson, OB/GYN.
Dr. Atkinson earned his Bachelors of Science at the University of Detroit-Mercy before completing medical school at the Saba University School of Medicine. He would finish his OB/GYN residency at Rutgers University/Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
As a native Michigander, Dr. Atkinson has fond memories of the UP. Now, with a family of his own, he looks forward to having similar enjoyable experiences with his kids.
“I was born and raised in Lower Michigan,” Dr. Atkinson said. “I spent a lot of time in the UP growing up, and it’s a place that I have never forgotten. Since medical school, I’ve been away from Michigan, and now that I have a family of my own, I want my kids to have the same experiences that I did.”
